I learned about National Novel Writing Month at the end of October and decided to sign up to participate for the first time. NaNoWriMo is a writing challenge for participants to write a 50,000 word novel between November 1st – 30th. You just need to start a profile here and start writing! NaNoWriMo is also a non-profit organization and supports The Young Writers Program which promotes creative writing in classrooms K-12, Camp NaNoWriMo which is an online writing retreat with resources to help finish your writing projects and The Come Write In program that provides free resources to libraries, community centers, and local bookstores. They will be accepting donations through this month have already raised $884,633.

I am off to a bit of a slow start because I caught an awful cold and have had a headache for a week but I am trying to get caught up on my word count. Is anyone else participating this month? Please feel free to add me as a reading buddy, I am under the username Samantha (NeverCat Books).
