WHY IS THIS SERIES SO GOOD!! Ah I really cannot get enough of Saga and they just do not come out fast enough! This series delivers and has not lost any steam! Fiona Staples once again kills it with the artwork. One of my favourite things about this book is how it’s so visually beautiful!

After being chased all over the galaxy and narrowing avoiding losing their lives Marko and Alana are attempting to settle down on a planet called Gardenia and raise Hazel like a normal family. The pressures of Alana’s job, and the fact that she said yes to drugs, is putting pressure on her and Marko’s relationship and endangering their secret. Meanwhile Marko has been trying to make a go of being a stay at home Dad and struggling with his feelings for another woman. Stupid purple bat bitch. Ahem…did I say that? What can I say I do not like it when people mess with my ship! On the other hand I did like seeing mundane everyday relationship problems brought into a sci-fi world and still maintain it’s intensity.

Prince Robot has also gone AWOL and while he is off having a breakdown on Sextillion his wife is brutally murdered and his son kidnapped. Turns out things aren’t so couture in the Robot Kingdom and the royalty are living great lives while the Commoners are dying off. Dengo has been driven mad by the death of his son and decided to take his revenge against the royal family. Go figure the psycho also winds up in Gardenia and kidnapping Marko’s family and by the end of the book the two of them have to work together to save their family.

Sophie, Gwendolyn and Lying Cat have also teamed up to save The Will’s life. I have to take a moment to say I honestly have never loved a sidekick as much as Lying Cat. Seriously if I could have one I would. Anyways it turns out there is a way to save The Will and after running into The Brand she decides to help them! Hopefully this means we will be seeing him back in action again! Right now he is in a coma having erotic dreams about The Stalk and how he screwed it up. I love The Will’s and The Stalk’s relationship but she is the one character I have trouble with since I am terrified of spiders and sometimes she just creeps the hell out of me. Spiders = ick!

Anyways these are my thoughts on the latest chapter in Saga and once again I am dying to read the next one! I give Saga Volume 4 five big shiny jewel stars that Felicia Day would approve of!
