“Waiting on Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine!

This week I am waiting on The Shadow Cabinet by Maureen Johnson.

The Shadow CabinetSynopsis:

The thrilling third installment to the Edgar-nominated, bestselling series

Rory and her friends are reeling from a series of sudden and tragic events. While racked with grief,   Rory tries to determine if she acted in time to save a member of the squad. If she did, how do you  find a ghost? Also, Rory’s classmate Charlotte has been kidnapped by Jane and her nefarious organization. Evidence is uncovered of a forty-year-old cult, ten missing teenagers, and a likely mass murder. Everything indicates that Charlotte’s in danger, and it seems that something much bigger and much more terrible is coming.

Time is running out as Rory fights to find her friends and the ghost squad struggles to stop Jane from unleashing her spectral nightmare on the entire city. In the process, they’ll discover the existence of an organization that underpins London itself—and Rory will learn that someone she trusts has been        keeping a tremendous secret.

Maureen Johnson is one of my favourite authors and I have been completely addicted to The Shades of London series since it started. I absolutely love that Maureen Johnson took Jack the Ripper’s legend of evil acts and put her own supernatural spin on it that evolved into a much bigger story! Incorporating the history of London into her story makes it that much more scary! After the last book ripped my heart out and tore it into tiny little pieces I felt like this…

While I’m sure Maureen Johnson was sitting at home cackling and drinking my tears of sorrow like this…

Needless to say I NEED TO READ THE NEXT BOOK! So I will be patiently waiting until the 10th and I can get my fix! Soooo hurry up and get here. Seriously. Like now. Is it here yet?
